Invites

Invite people you know, and see where each invitation is.

You earn invites for writing — publishing a completed challenge earns one, and so does each month you are subscribed. You can hold up to five at a time. The Invites page shows how many you have, lets you send one, and lists everything you have sent with its current state.

How to use it

  • Send an inviteenter their email address, optionally their name and a short note, then send. The invite comes out of your balance straight away.
  • Your name and emailare only included if you tick the box. It is off by default, and the invitation is sent from Oghmere without identifying you unless you turn it on.
  • Cancelwithdraws an invitation that has not gone out yet and returns the invite to your balance.

Invitations go out from a queue

To keep our mail welcome in people’s inboxes, only so many invitations leave Oghmere each hour. Yours may wait its turn, and the page shows roughly when it will go. Nothing expires while it waits — the countdown on an invitation starts when it is actually sent.

Notes cannot contain links

A note is up to 240 characters of plain text. If something in it looks like a web address, the page says which part and how to fix it — usually a missing space after a full stop.

If sending is paused on your account

If someone marks one of your invitations as spam, invite sending is paused automatically to protect everyone else’s mail. Nothing is taken from you: your invites are still yours, and anything queued goes out when it is lifted. Write to support@oghmere.com and a person will review it.
