Sharing an invite link
Turn your invites into a link you can send to anyone, and get back whatever nobody uses.
An invite link is a private web address you can paste into a message, so someone can create an Oghmere account without you needing their email address. Anyone holding the link can use it, so treat it like a key and only send it to people you mean to invite.
How to use it
- Create one — choose how many people it should let in — one by default — and create the link. Copy it and send it however you like.
- Uses are set aside straight away — a link for three people takes three invites from your balance the moment you create it, not when people sign up. That is what stops one invite letting in a crowd.
- Unused invites come back — when a link expires, or when you withdraw it, anything nobody used returns to your balance. Places that were already used stay used — those invitations worked.
- Withdraw it any time — withdrawing a link stops it working immediately, for everyone who has it.
Keep it to people you know
The link is the only thing standing between a stranger and a new account, so it is deliberately long and impossible to guess — but it works for anyone who has it. Posting one publicly is not what it is for. If a link travels further than you meant it to, withdraw it and create another.
