Export
Download a document as Markdown, HTML, plain text, or Word.
Export lets you download a finished document to your computer. It works one document at a time: pick the document, choose a format, and download.
Formats
- Markdown (.md) — plain text with lightweight formatting.
- Plain text (.txt) — just the words, no formatting.
- HTML (.html) — a web-ready file.
- Word (.docx) — open it in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
- PDF (.pdf) — a fixed-layout file ready to print or share.
- EPUB (.epub) — an e-book file for e-readers and reading apps.
- LaTeX (.tex) — source for STEM coursework and journal submission. Citations become \cite commands and the reference list is left to BibTeX: the .tex references a refs.bib you compile alongside it, rather than a pre-rendered list.
LaTeX is one-way
We can import LaTeX and we can export it, but export → re-import is not lossless and we do not test it as a round trip. Treat the exported .tex as a finished handoff to your LaTeX toolchain, not a format to bring back into the editor unchanged.
Exporting
From a project’s Export surface, choose the document from the list — each shows its title and word count — then click the download button for the format you want. The file is prepared and downloaded straight away. The Export surface also shows a short AI transparency summary for the project; the full report lives on the Transparency page.
Export the interaction log
Exporting a document sends the writing. To take the record of how it was coached, download the interaction log from the Transparency page — as Markdown or JSON, for the whole project or a single document. The downloaded file states its own scope, so a recipient can see exactly what it contains. Like export, it is free and runs no AI.
